Keywords

What We Learned
  • You have to be confident about the article you write.
  • You really have to consider who you are writing for.
  • If you are not confident about your article the people that read your article won't feel confident about it either.

  • Writers have to know their audience.
  • Writers have to be confident but not cocky about their work.
  • We learned that you should be proud of your work when it's good.
  • You have to try your best to persuade people to read your writing.
  • People will trust your writing if you do your best and a great job.
  • Writers have to be careful in what they say.
How does your writing express  you?
"I took a lot of time to learn about the stock market and technology.  I'm proud that I can write something that complicated.  I think I'm known for taking a big amount of information and bringing it down so it's clear."

Quotes
"If you were writing about video games for a serious gamer, you'd write that very differently than if you were writing for your grandmother."

"You have to know who it is that's going to be reading your piece.  If you don't, you're going to lose them."

"It's important in my writing to tell them right away what it is they're going to be reading about."
